The redesign of Gladstone’s brand identity.
The Challenge
Gladstone’s brand was years out of date and didn’t represent the organizational core values, vision and mission well to internal and external audiences.
The Solution
Graphical shapes were created that are based on scientific illustration, and the textures within them include scientific microscopy images and handmade marbled paper manipulated in PhotoShop. This approach makes the brand visually appealing to both scientists and a lay audience.
The microscopy conveys Gladstone’s scientific purpose, and the marbling represents the creative, craft-based elements of scientific research.
Outcomes
Increased Gladstone’s brand recognition and differentiation from competitors, and positioned the organization in a more cutting-edge, contemporary way.
